Before becoming The Artist Jean Dujardin was OSS 117: A sexy, sexist and politically incorrect French spy.
The 2 OSS 117 movies are hilarious spoofs of the spy genre. With a really sexist, ignorant and politically incorrect secret agent. The world has changed…not him! How politically incorrect? A lot! Here’s a quote from a scene that happened after he spend the night in a Cairo hotel:
“I was woken by a guy screaming on a tower. I couldn’t sleep. I had to shut him up.”
“A muezzin? You `shut up’ a muezzin?! He was calling for prayer!!”
The Artist’s actress Berenice Bejo has a lead role in OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies.
The OSS 117 movie is based on a series of books by Jean Bruce written from the late 40′s to the early 60”s about a secret agent named Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath. Interestingly, the first book predated Ian Fleming’s first James Bond.
A fun comedy with 2 great actors. Lot of laughs. A must watch movie.Buy Now
