The Rosary is a popular Catholic devotion based upon a Church-approved apparition of Our Blessed Mother to Saint Dominic, a Spanish cleric who founded the Dominican Order in the early 13th century.
The word “rosary,” which means “a crown of roses,” is often prayed by the faithful in their homes, typically right after dinner. Rosary beads are used to help keep count of the prayers, which are said while contemplating a Biblical scene, such as the Nativity of Christ or His Resurrection.
In the years following the Second Vatican Council, it appears as if a lot of people forgot how to pray the Rosary. The Internet, though, is helping to revive this pious practice.
Rosary beads make great First Holy Communion and Confirmation presents. They are also a good Christmas present for that devout person in your life. The set of beads shown here are carved from wood and have a delicate rose scent.Buy Now
