You might have seen pictures of baobab trees, which are tall cylindrical trees that grow throughout much of Madagascar, an island in the Indian Ocean.
Because this tree is so important, and has so many uses, it’s been widely referred to as “The Tree of Life.” It’s fruit is loaded with antioxidants and other nutrients, and is said to have six times the amount of Vitamin C that you’d find in an orange. It’s also much higher in potassium than an equal-sized serving of bananas and it contains more calcium than milk.
Women who’ve lived near baobab trees have long known that the oil from the seed of the fruit is a great beauty aid, as it improves elasticity and evens out the skin tone. It can even help heal acne rosacea. This oil also is not greasy and doesn’t evaporate.
