Laurel Burch is one of the most inspiring artists of recent memory. A San Francisco transplant, her website explains how she escaped a tough home life in Southern California and headed north, where she was embraced by the people in her adopted city.
Although Ms. Burch passed away in 2007, her work has been licensed, and it’s still available, years after her death.
The whimsical brown and tan cat tote shown above can also be used as a purse. Like all of Burch’s creations, this one is also designed in bold colors. The bag measures 15 by 19-inches, and is titled, “Ancestral Cats.” There is a zippered section on the inside, and a removal “support panel” on the bottom of the bag.
