Dromedary camels are found in the Middle East and are thought to have been first used by man for transportation and food about 4,000 years ago. These are very big animals, with males weighing up to about 1,300 pounds.
It’s thought there are about 13 million domesticated dromedary (or one-hump) camels in the world, located primarily in the desert regions of the Saudi Arabian peninsula and Northern Africa. Camels are still very important to many of the people living in these regions. Milk from the camel is used as food, as its meat.
This adorable stuffed dromedary camel is 12-inches high and made by Wild Republic.
